Remington College Mobile’s Medical Assisting diploma program gives students the skills and confidence they need to work in a variety of medical office settings. The school has six classrooms, two clinical labs, and two computer labs dedicated to the Medical Assisting program.
Students are introduced to the basics of a medical office, vital signs, and using lab equipment in the first few weeks of class. Students will get a change to practice on basic equipment found in a medical office in the clinical labs.
The Medical Assisting Program includes instruction in venous blood collection. Although the scope of the program is broader than just phlebotomy training, students can take the Registered Phlebotomy Certification (RPT) exam given by the American Medical Technologists (AMT).
